The Rutongo Handicapped Center
Children aged 2 - 18 live at The Rutongo Handicapped Center. During the day, the central room is lined with sewing machines used to train handicapped men, women, and children; at night the sewing machines are pushed aside and these tailors and babies sleep on dusty, thread-bare mattresses.
